Elizabeth Ministry is an outreach to women in special times of motherhood. The purpose of
this ministry is to affirm. support, encourage, and assist in response to the needs of
women during the childbearing years. We are looking for mothers and grandmothers of all ages.
We provide support for women of our parish through prayer, visits, and meals.

Areas of Involvement
Attention all Cooks and Non-Cooks
SVdP Elizabeth Ministry is compiling a list of women that we could contact a few
times throughout the year to make a simple family meal. One aspect of our ministry is to provide a meal
for families. These meals are provided for families who are celebrating the birth of a new baby, or
families who are experiencing a crisis. If you enjoy cooking and would like to become a part of this

The Power of Prayer
We have all experienced the power of prayer in our lives. The SVdP Elizabeth
Ministry is no exception. Our Prayer Chain consists of approximately 20 women in our parish who pray for
the needs of our parish families. We pray for each other, pregnant parishioners, their unborn children,
families experiencing crisis...If you would like to be a part of this wonderful aspect of our ministry,

parish from the comfort of your own home.
Attention all crafters
The Elizabeth Ministry needs your help. The purpose of this ministry is to affirm, support, encourage, and
assist in response to the needs of women in our parish. As part of our ministry, we visit women
celebrating the birth of a new baby, adoption, women on bed rest, women experiencing the loss of a baby
due to miscarriage, stillbirth...As part of this visit, we like to bring these women a small token to
remind them we are thinking of them and praying for them. For example, currently when we visit a new
mother we might bring her a handmade fleece blanket or burp cloth. We need your assistance in making
items appropriate to give these women. If you would like to be a part of this wonderful aspect of our
