Schedule
Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion are commissioned by
the diocese to distribute Holy Communion for three year terms which may be renewed.
Extraordinary ministers must be practicing and upstanding Catholics in good
standing and must undergo training before being commissioned to distribute Holy
Communion.
Extraordinary ministers help to distribute Holy Communion at Mass.
At the 9:00 and 10:30 am Masses on Sundays, Communion under both species is made
available so that the Precious Blood may also be received by the faithful.
Extraordinary ministers also help to distribute Holy Communion to the sick and the
homebound. Bringing the Body of Christ to those in hospitals and those who are shut
in is an important ministry in the life of the parish.
